Older Demo News
On 24th June 2012, MAG organised another
set of Nationwide demonstrations,
one in each of the UK's European constituencies.
There were also similar
demonstrations on the continent organised by MAG's
sister organisations there.
The demonstration seeked
to draw attention to our opposition to the proposed European regulation
COM(2010)542.
This seeks to introduce mandatory Type Approval, ABS, On-board Diagnostics and
to prevent Power-train Modifications under the now notorious restrictive
clause 18, which hasn't been
completely drafted yet! And all this legislation
to be introduced on basically zero evidence!

MAG Flash Action Day 25th September 2011
What was it about?
Europe were trying to bring
in legislation threatening the future of motorcycling.
It was based on scant
evidence and we objected to the unnecessary legislation.
When did it happening?
25th September 2011 starting
at 13:00 running for 20 minutes up to one hour depending
on the local organisers.
What did we do?
At 13:00, we set off
from Motorway or similar services en bloc and stayed in lane one
travelling
unmarshalled at a sedate pace. This caused minor disruption to traffic
flow,
but we did not break any laws. The intent was to bring to everyone's
attention
we are here and to highlight the protest.
