Latest Demo News
On 24th June, MAG will be organising another
set of Nationwide demonstrations,
one in each of the UK's European constituencies. There will also be similar
demonstrations on the continent organised by MAG's sister organisations there.
The demonstration seeks to draw attention to our opposition to the proposed European regulation
COM(2010)542. This seeks to introduce mandatory Type Approval, ABS, On-board Diagnostics and
to prevent Power-train Modifications under the now notorious restrictive clause 18, which hasn't been
completely drafted yet! And all this legislation to be introduced on basically zero evidence!

Upcoming important event:
MAG Flash Action Day 25th September
What's it about?
Europe are trying to bring in legislation threatening the future of motorcycling.
It is based on scant evidence and we are objecting to the unnecessary legislation.
When is it happening?
25th September starting at 13:00 running for 20 minutes up to one hour depending
on the local organisers.
What are we doing?
At 13:00, we will set off from Motorway or similar services en bloc and stay in lane one
travelling unmarshalled at a sedate pace. This may cause minor disruption to traffic
flow, but we will not be breaking any laws. The intent is to bring to everyone's
attention we are here and to highlight the protest.

BRUM Demo - 2nd July 2011 -
Join MAG in its demonstration against the introduction of Compulsory DAYGLO
(Already happening in France and Ireland).
Also against compulsory ABS which cannot be turned
off, adding hundreds of
pounds to the cost of new motorcycles, and also adding yet more weight.
Also against anti-tampering measures to apply
to all classes of motorcycles, trikes,
small cars. This measure would effectively prohibit any modification or maintenance
by the motorcyclist to ANY part of the power train. Want to replace that worn out
sprocket? - you will have to take it into the garage to let them do it at great expense.
See the poster at the following link Brum Poster for details.
